Dr. Tolessa has worked for more than Ten (10) years as an Orthopedic and Spine Surgeon. He has extensive experience working in various regional and international teaching hospitals in Finland, UK and Canada. Prior to joining Al Ahli Hospital, he worked as a substantive Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust, UK.
DR. Tolessa is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Leeds University and the Royal College Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK.
Dr. Tolessa has established a Centre of Excellence for Treatment of Pelvic and Acetabulum Injuries and introduced the first Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS) for Hip replacement in the West Yorkshire.
