Al-Ahli Heart Care Center is a tertiary care facility which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases.

The department of Cardiology provides latest, cutting-edge technology in the diagnosis and treatment in all fields of Cardiology ranging from preventive, clinical, non-invasive and interventional Cardiology.  The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery offers a comprehensive state-of-the art surgical therapy for all adult cardiac and thoracic diseases.

The Heart Centre is run by a team of highly experienced European qualified Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgical Consultants and highly-trained Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Specialists. The centre is also staffed with a diverse team of ECG / Echocardiography Technicians, Cardiac Critical Care Nurses, General Cardiac Nurses, Physiotherapists and Respiratory Therapists who are all well qualified and have a vast experience internationally. We also have a specialized dedicated team of nurses and technicians in our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory as well as Cardiac Anesthetists and a Perfusionist for open heart surgeries.

The Walk-in guests department offers specialized consultations in Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery and a number of non invasive investigations, outlined in "List of Services'.

The In-House guests section of The Heart Care Center has a fully-equipped 5-bedded Coronary Care Unit, a 5-bedded Intensive Care Unit and a Step-Down Unit. Guests requiring admission for cardiac-related conditions will be admitted to one of the above depending on the severity of the underlying condition. The in-house unit is staffed around-the-clock by a team of cardiovascular specialists and nursing staff to provide a continuous 24 hour care and to cater for any cardiac emergency.

The Emergency department is backed up by our team of cardiovascular specialists to provide a 24 hour coverage for any cardiac / cardiothoracic surgical emergency. There is a dedicated Chest Pain Unit in the Emergency Room which is specifically catered to provide immediate assessment and care of guests suffering from acute chest pain requiring urgent assessment / intervention.

The Cardiac Catheterization Suite is equipped with an advanced state-of-the art Digital Cardiac Catheterization Angiography equipment. Diagnostic coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary angioplasty (PCI) with balloon / stenting, peripheral vascular interventions such as renal angioplasty and pacemaker implantations, amongst other procedures, may be carried out (undertaken) in this unit. A 24 hour acute Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) service has been set up to provide the best treatment for guests presenting with acute heart attacks at any time.

The centre has a dedicated, state-of-the art cardiac surgical operating room where open heart bypass surgeries, valvular surgeries and other related complex heart operations are routinely performed by our dedicated cardiothoracic surgical team.
