The units provide consultation and management of all aspects of critically ill guests, including managing guests requiring invasive ventilator support and monitoring, invasive procedures, managing sepsis, post operative complications, respiratory failure, advanced liver and renal diseases and palliative care.

In addition the ICU/CCU provides the immediate post-operative care for guests who underwent open heart surgery and major thoracic procedures. These guests are subsequently looked after by the surgical Intensive Care Team led by the Consultant cardiac Surgeon.

Expert and well trained nursing staff provides a one-to-one 24 Hour per day care for these guests. All nurses are qualified to manage major open heart surgery guests, ventilators, IABP, Cardiac Resuscitation and all relevant aspects of the post-operative care.
