In our facilities, newly constructed in 2015, we provide a state-of-the art setting in which the couple’s history is investigated and examinations are undergone to determine the etiological factors that are causing difficulty in conceiving so that a tailor-made therapeutic scheme for the specific couple may be proposed to achieve their reproductive goals.
Andrology Unit:
Andrology is the branch of medicine concerned with male health, particularly focuses on the problems of the male reproductive system.
At Al-Ahli Hospital Fertility Clinic, we are pleased to offer our male guests a convenient, same-site andrology service in an atmosphere that is private, and comfortable, providing a wide range of specialized tests and services for the accurate evaluation and treatment of male infertility to help identify the best treatment options for each individual or couple.

In addition to semen assessment and evaluation according to Strict criteria - which is the most internationally reliable method to assess sperm quality and its fertilizing potential, we perform sperm preparation and enrichment for intrauterine inseminations (IUI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) procedures that are performed in our attached IVF laboratory. Different sperm preparation techniques are available in this Unit, individually tailored to manage the different cases of normospermia (normal sperm parameters), oligospermia (low sperm count), Asthenospermia (low sperm motility), and Teratospermia (increased sperm abnormality).
We also offer the convenience of safe and reliable sperm cryopreservation for the male partner who cannot show up on the day of the procedure.
For patients requiring more advanced surgical sperm harvest procedures, we perform same-day procedures in our building, where guests can benefit from the expertise of the clinical embryology staff on hand to evaluate the harvested sperm to be used later to fertilize the wife’s oocytes. Moreover, testicular and epididymal sperm can be cryopreserved for use in a future IVF cycle.
On the Clinical level, male infertility management depends on specialized proper evaluation of the male factor by clinical examination for testicular size and checking the presence of varicocele, hormonal profile, scrotal Doppler, and semen analysis, following the World Health Organization standards.
